5A05 aluminum sheet (Al-Mg)is an anti-rust aluminum alloy which cannot be heat treated, but its strength can be improved by cold deformation. It has a higher plasticity in the state of annealing, and it is better than the temper of semi-cold hardening. 5A05 has good corrosion resistance and weldability. It is applicable for welding, atomic hydrogen welding, oxyacetylene welding and argon arc welding. It has good machinability after semi-cold hardening.

5A05 aluminum alloy  is mainly used for low load parts, such as oil tanks, gasoline or lubricating oil pipes, various liquid containers and other small load parts made by deep drawing, which are working in liquid or gas medium, which require high plasticity and good solderability.
